About Asuelu Sitia (Foliki).
Born and raised in West Auckland, Asuelu is of Tuvaluan and English decent. As a father to a son, Asuelu is the second eldest of four brothers and three sisters who were all born and bred in Auckland.
Asuelu came to Tipene Funerals as a school leaver and was placed in the position of Warehouse Coordinator.
Part of the Warehouse Coordinator’s role is to ensure that all the ‘behind the scenes’ are well oiled and working for the Funeral Directors to do their jobs. From trimming caskets, detailing the vehicles with precision and ensuring that general building and maintenance are kept up to date, Asuelu is one of the most important members of staff when it comes to Tipene Funerals.
Asuelu states: “I love what I do because I learn something new every day. Getting good feedback from the families we serve about how good the caskets are that have been presented and the way they look through to the way the cars look when they’re clean makes my job enjoyable…”
Asuelu has recently passed his Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health which ensures that the practices we undertake within and around the funeral home are practiced with good health and are safe.
